Instructional Design Specialist

The Knowledge Base Instructional Design Specialist will focus on creating high-quality and engaging video and interactive eLearning content.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Execute on Knowledge Base objectives and initiatives
  • Work in consultation with stakeholders and subject matter experts to determine customer content needs, desired outcomes and appropriate learning strategies
  • Design and implement help content and solutions to educate our customers on how to use Constant Contact’s products 
  • Measure and report on effectiveness of learning solutions to stakeholders and leaders
  • Conduct needs assessments to uncover and validate business and learning needs 
  • Create measureable learning objectives for Knowledge Base user interface and content
  • Determine best instructional strategies for achieving objectives
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Knowledge Base and Training teams and consult on other initiatives in development
  • Create high quality and engaging video and interactive eLearning content 
  • Develop and implement instructional best practices to optimize our use of graphics, images, video, and written instructions
  • Conceptualize, story board and build prototypes to address specific customer educational needs
  • Ensure all deliverables are on time throughout software development life cycle
  • Review, edit and maintain content to ensure accuracy, usability, SEO and style/quality guidelines are properly implemented

Requirements:

  • A degree or certification in Instructional Design, eLearning Development, Technical Communications, or other related field/equivalent professional experience
  • 2-5 years of proven experience conceptualizing, creating, editing, producing, and delivering customer facing educational content
  • Strong working knowledge of instructional design principles and best practices that drive learning transfer and achieve measurable results
  • Practical knowledge of industry standard eLearning tools and technologies
  • Exceptional project and program management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical fluency to enable the design of technical training and seamless partnerships with technical subject matter experts
  • Ability to organize and work under strict time and production deadlines, while producing quality deliverables
  • Highly self-motivated and self-managed; ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal coaching or supervision
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Premiere preferred
